LOGAN SQUARE — Next Sunday, Masada in Logan Square will host an hour-long Stanley Cup photo opportunity/fundraiser.

Set for 4 to 5 p.m. Aug. 30 at 2206 N. California Ave., the pop in by Lord Stanley and Blackhawks left winger Daniel Carcillo will happen in the Middle Eastern restaurant's lower-level lounge.

Proceeds from the $50 tickets — payable in cash at the door or by credit card — will go to Chapter 5, a nonprofit founded by Carcillo that helps athletes transition into life after playing the game and the Palestinian Children's Relief Fund, a nonprofit that assists children in war torn countries, said Masada's owner Shadi Ramli.

The event will be open to the public but the photo area will be open only for those with tickets, said Ramli.

Children under age 15 who are with an adult can get in for free. Attendees should bring their own smart phone or camera to capture a photo with the Cup and Carcillo.

Carcillo, 30, who heads up the just-founded nonprofit group Chapter 5 has been off the ice since March 25 after being diagnosed with concussion symptoms, the Tribune reports.

Valet parking will be available for $10. For more information, visit Masada's Facebook page or call 773-697-8397.
