CHICAGO RIVERWALK — Chicago Riverwalk visitors will soon have a spot for live music.

The Hideout, a converted house at 1354 W. Wabansia Ave. that bills itself as "Chicago's most loved small [music] venue," will open a pop-up space Thursday on the south riverfront between State and Wabash streets, according to Crain's Chicago Business

"We used to joke that the Hideout was in the middle of nowhere, and now 20 years later we're in the center of everything,” co-owner Tim Tuten told Crain's

The Riverwalk venue will be open through Nov. 1 with free, all-ages concerts from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. every weekday except Wednesdays, as well as 1-3 p.m. Sundays, Tuten told Crain's

Loop North News reported in June that the bar applied for a liquor license at 35 E. Riverwalk South, and DNAinfo Chicago noticed a Hideout sign on the Riverwalk over the weekend. The venue will reportedly serve up Lagunitas brews.

The original Hideout on Wabansia is known for its annual block parties and as a place where rock stars including Jack White and Billy Corgan played before becoming famous. Tuten did not return messages seeking comment.
