NAVY PIER — Chicago's nowhere near Maine, but it's lobster season at Navy Pier.

The Great American Lobster Fest is returning to the tourist attraction, 600 E. Grand Ave., starting at 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, and coincides this year with the Chicago Air & Water Show.

Admission is free, and guests will be able to buy lobster meals and other seafood (as well as "land" food) during the festival, which is billed as the biggest of its kind in the Midwest.

The Original Wailers — Bob Marley's backing band — and other acts will join the Air & Water Show and Navy Pier's fireworks Saturday night as entertainment. Beer stands, craft booths and carnival games will also be on hand.

The festival will be outside on the eastern end of the pier, with the bands playing in Navy Pier's Grand Ballroom. Seafood will be sold at market price on the days of the festival, but advance "lobster meal" tickets can still be bought through 3 p.m. Thursday for $39. A music-only ticket is $10.

The fest, now in its second year, runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Visit the festival's website for more information.
