WEST ENGLEWOOD — A 31-year-old man was in stable condition after being shot in West Englewood early Monday morning, police said.

The man said he was walking in the 1700 block of West 58th Street around 12:30 a.m. when he heard gunshots and felt pain, according to Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man brought himself to Holy Cross Hospital, where he was treated for gunshot wounds in his arm and his leg, Pacheco said.

No one is in custody for the shooting, Pacheco said.

Police said the man is a documented gang member, and they believe the shooting was gang-related.
