Discover Your New Favorite Restaurant at the Taste of Andersonville

ANDERSONVILLE — Sample some local cuisine and discover your new favorite spot to eat this Wednesday at the Taste of Andersonville Dinner Crawl.

Held in conjunction with the Andersonville Farmers Market, the event is the perfect opportunity to embrace your inner foodie, get to know your neighborhood and mingle with neighbors and friends. The dinner crawl will run from 6-9 p.m.

Attendees can choose from either the Salt Route, which is vegetarian friendly, the Pepper Route, or both with the Whole Enchilada package. Each route features samples from at least 10 restaurants. Tickets for one route are $30 in advance or $35 at the event. Tickets for both are $55 in advance or $65 at the door. One dollar from each ticket sold will be donated to Care for Real, Edgewater's food pantry.

Andersonville Brewing Co., 5402 N. Clark St. - Pretzels and house-made hot beer cheese made with Andersonville Brewing Company’s Speakeasy Saison Ale

Vincent, 1475 W. Balmoral Ave. - Seasonal arancini (house-made risotto balls with seasonal local vegetables)

Kopi Cafe, 5317 N. Clark St. - Veggie sloppy joe

Ranalli’s, 1512 W. Berwyn Ave. - A selection of Ranalli’s signature thin-crust pizza

Lady Gregory’s, 5260 N. Clark St. - Macaroni & cheese with white cheddar garlic cream, cavatappi and a garlic crumb crust

Middle East Bakery, 1512 W. Foster Ave. - Hummus, pita bread, baba ganoush, ful medames (fava bean stew)

Wooden Spoon, 5047 N. Clark St.  - Wood-fired pizza made in our own backyard pizza oven

Pork Shoppe, 5721 N. Clark St. - Mini pulled pork sandwiches

The Coffee Studio, 5628 N. Clark St. - Smoked salmon flatbread

JB’s Deli, 5501 N. Clark St. - Brisket, Reuben strudel, veggie wrap, pasta salad, carrot slaw

Summerdale, 5413 N. Clark St. - Spicy chicken slider and homemade chips

• Andies, 5253 N. Clark St. - Baba ganoush, organic falafel, dolmades

• Svea, 5236 N. Clark St.  - A sampler platter of shoal of herring (sampler)

Giordano’s, 5207 N. Clark St. - Stuffed spinach or sausage pizza

Attendees can pick up their Taste passport from the Swedish American Museum, 5211 N. Clark St. beginning at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
