BURNHAM HARBOR — Four adolescents are safe after their boat capsized Friday afternoon near Burnham Harbor, the fire department said.

The four people, ages 12 to 16, were about 100 feet from the mouth of the South Loop harbor when a wave tipped their Boston Whaler boat at about 2 p.m., Fire Department Spokesman Larry Langford said. All four were wearing life jackets.

The Chicago Park District rescued the four adolescents with assistance from the fire department, Langford said.
