HUMBOLDT PARK — A 62-year-old man was shot in his knee during a robbery in Humboldt Park Tuesday night, police said.

At 11:57 p.m., the man was walking in the 3700 block of West Thomas Street when two men ran up to him, pulled out guns and demanded money, according to Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The robbers took the man's wallet then shot him in his knee before running away, Sedevic said.

The man was brought to Mount Sinai Hospital in fair condition, Sedevic said.

Police said no one is in custody for the incident.
