CHATHAM — A 27-year-old man was shot in his hand in Chatham Tuesday afternoon, police said.

Around 4:20 p.m., a 27-year-old man was shot in his right hand in the 500 block of East 75th Street, according to Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

He was taken to Jackson Park Hospital in good condition, Sedevic said.

Sedevic said the man was "changing his story" and being uncooperative with police.

Police said the man is a documented gang member and a convicted felon on parole.
