CHICAGO — There's no city better than Chicago when it comes to pizza, according to travel and review site TripAdvisor.
TripAdvisor ranked Chicago as the No. 1 city for pizza in the United States, suggesting visitors try Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder, Lou Malnati's and Giordano's. The ranking was based on reviews and opinions from millions of people who use TripAdvisor, according to the website. Sorry, Anthony Bourdain.
The city's pizza popularity is probably no surprise to residents who know Chicago specializes in deep dish, thin crust and everything in between.
“Travelers come from all corners of the country to sink their teeth into Chicago’s deep dish, the big cheese of pizza destinations according to reviewers on TripAdvisor,” said Brooke Ferencsik, TripAdvisor director of communications, according to a news release.

Though the city claimed the top spot in the rankings, beating out pizza havens like New York (No. 2), no restaurant from Chicago made it into the website's top 10 pizza places in the United States. Those rankings were based on the quantity and quality of reviews for pizzerias, according to the website.
(And if you're still bitter about Houston potentially overtaking Chicago as the third-largest city, take comfort: Their pizza doesn't even crack the top 10 in TripAdvisor's rankings.)
