West Pullman Shooting Leaves Man Dead Early Thursday Identified

CHICAGO — A 21-year-old man was killed early Thursday in a shooting in West Pullman, police said.

Around 3:45 a.m., the man was in the 12000 block of South Prairie Avenue when he was shot in the head, back and arm, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

Jesse M. Diaz, of the 12000 block of South Artesian Avenue in Blue Island, was taken to Roseland Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4 a.m., officials said.

No one is in custody for the shooting.
