CHICAGO — Former Bears Pro Bowler Charles "Peanut" Tillman hasn't played a game for the Panthers yet, but he's already a hit in Carolina for his attire.
The cornerback made waves by wearing a T-shirt featuring Michael "Squints" Palledorous, a character played by Chauncey Leopardi in the 1993 film "The Sandlot."
Tillman's wife, Jackie, told DNAinfo Chicago in an email that Tillman "likes Squints."
"He was a baller," Jackie Tillman said.

Jackie Tillman said her husband got the shirt at JackThreads.
Tillman signed with the Panthers in April after a 12-year career with the Bears that saw him go to two Pro Bowls and Super Bowl XLI.
His trip this week for his first training camp with the Panthers did not go without drama. On his way to Charlotte from Chicago Tuesday night, his flight had to make an emergency landing for what an airline spokesperson said was an “indication of a mechanical issue.”

"The Sandlot" is considered a cult classic about a group of boys playing baseball on a sandlot diamond. Leopardi's Twitter handle is @_squintz.
The movie is playing at parks around the city this summer as part of the Chicago Park District's Movies in the Parks series. The movie is playing at Sheridan Park at 910 S. Aberdeen St. in Little Italy on Aug. 5.
