LOGAN SQUARE — Cole's Bar is turning six and celebrating with a lineup packed with bands featuring Cole's musicians.

To celebrate the big birthday Cole's, 2338 N. Milwaukee Ave., is throwing a party Saturday to benefit the Haitian arts organization Carrefour Collaborative.

The seven-band lineup kicks off at 7:30 p.m. and runs through the end of the night.

Each of the seven bands includes at least one member that works at Cole's Bar, including namesake Coleman Brice himself.

The night's benefactor, Carrefour Collaborative, seeks to provide Haiti's most talented artists with the means to achieve their goals and help promote their work to an international audience.

The collaborative makes that happen through individual grants and curated artist exchanges.

The program chooses artists based on merit alone and provides artists with needs ranging from basic living expenses to top of the line recording technology.
