Woman Abducts Her Son, 1, From Humboldt Park Playlot: Police

HUMBOLDT PARK — Police are searching for a woman they believe ran away with her son, according to a community alert released Monday. She does not have lawful custody of him, police said.

Early Friday afternoon, the alert said, 17-year-old Solonia Anderson was on supervised visitation with her son, 1-year-old Bayoun Collins, in Greenbaum Playlot Park, 4300 W. Wabansia Ave., around 1:15 p.m., police said, Anderson fled with Collins in an unknown direction.

Police describe Anderson as a black woman with medium-length black hair and brown eyes, 5-feet tall and about 115 pounds. She was last seen wearing a gray tank top and black shorts.

Collins, police said, is about 2-foot-5 with short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a red T-shirt and black shorts.
