UKRAINIAN VILLAGE — A 21-year-old man is hurt after being shot in Ukrainian Village early Saturday morning, police said.

At about 6 a.m. Saturday morning, the man was walking on the 800 block of North Western Avenue when a car pulled up and someone inside fired shots at him, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was taken to Saint Mary's Hosptial with a gunshot wound in his right shoulder, Estrada said, and he's now in stable condition.

No one is in custody for the shooting, Estrada said.

Police said the man is a documented gang member, and they believe the shooting was gang-related.
