HUMBOLDT PARK — Spinning J unveiled their new shop, pies and soda fountain drinks Sunday — and we got a sneak peak.
The soft opening featured a run of cherry, blueberry crumble and key lime pie for friends and family of co-owners Dinah Grossman, Parker Whiteway and the Spinning J staff.
Look out for a grand opening this week at 1000 N. California Ave.

On an equipment-hunting trip at a Masonic lodge slated for demolition outside of Milwaukee, Grossman came upon the drugstore's original marble bar, stools and brass foot rail. After buying it all, Grossman dug deeper into her family history, "put the math together" and realized Sangor's was her Grandma Ethel's hangout. [DNAinfo/Darryl Holliday]
