CHICAGO — Prime Day was a disappointment, but Amazon has something to make up for it: It's bringing same-day delivery to Chicago.

Amazon Prime Now launched in Chicago on Friday. The service — which boasts that it will provide one- and two-hour delivery — is available to Amazon Prime members. Two-hour delivery is free and one-hour delivery is $7.99.

Everyday necessities like toilet paper will be available, but you can also have luxury goods like TVs delivered in two hours or less, according to an Amazon video.

Prime is offering the speedy delivery to parts of Lincoln Park, Gold Coast, Old Town, River North, Wicker Park, Humboldt Park, West Town, the Near North Side, River West and Noble Square (officially, the ZIP codes it serves are 60614, 60610, 60654, 60622 and 60642).

The service is available through the Amazon Prime Now app, which also lets you keep track of where your items are while en route to you.
