CHICAGO — A 50-year-old man and 60-year-old woman were shot early Tuesday in Auburn Gresham, police said.

Around 2:26 a.m., a man pulled up to a home in the 8300 block of South Kerfoot Avenue, got out of his car and opened fire while the two were sitting on a porch, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The 60-year-old woman was shot in the chest, buttocks and abdomen. She was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, Estrada said.

The 50-year-old man was struck in the arm and taken to St. Bernard Hospital in critical condition, Estrada said.

After opening fire, the gunman got into his car and drove away, and a description of the vehicle was not available. No one is in custody for the shooting, Estrada said.
