CHICAGO — Take a break from the office and enjoy your lunch outside.
Friends of the Chicago River and the city host the Chicago River Speaker Series every Monday this summer through July 27.
The free event takes places at the McCormick Bridgehouse and Chicago River Museum, 376 N. Michigan Ave., or the southwest corner of the river walk where Wacker and Michigan meet.
The free presentations from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. are on topics ranging from wildlife to the economy of the river.

July 13: "Invasive Species: Asian Carp" with Phil Willink of the Shedd Aquarium
July 20: "River Clean-up Efforts" with the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago
July 27: TBD
