CHICAGO — A 26-year-old man was shot and killed early Sunday in South Shore, police said.
Around 12:55 a.m., the man was sitting in his vehicle in the 7000 block of South South Shore Drive when someone walked up and fired shots, said Officer Hector Alfaro, a Chicago Police spokesman.
He was shot in his stomach and shoulder and taken to South Shore Hospital where he was pronounced dead, Alfaro said.
Police said the shooting may have been gang related.
