PORTAGE PARK — Tickets are on sale now for the Filament Theatre Ensemble’s production of "Sherlock Holmes and the Mystery of Portage Park,” an interactive performance that will send audience members through the streets of Portage Park to solve the whodunit.

The story centers on the kidnapping of three City Council members from an important meeting, and calls on the audience to help Holmes crack the case by searching for clues on foot or on bicycles, theater officials said.

The performance is the theater's way of participating in efforts led by the Six Corners Association to make the area around Irving Park Road and Cicero and Milwaukee avenues more friendly to bicyclists and pedestrians, Filament Theatre Ensemble Managing Director Christian Libonati said.

Libonati will direct the play by Jessica Wright Buha.

The cast includes Filament resident artists Molly Bunder, Lindsey Dorcus and Nathan Drackett, and guest artists David Fink, Alex Ireys, Bryce Gangel, Calista Small, Jessica Kearney, Alex Tey, Sara Sawicki and Josh Greiveldinger.

Performances will take place at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. July 18 and 19 at 4041 N. Milwaukee Ave., and are recommended for those older than 8.

Tickets range in price from $14-$20 and are available at filamenttheatre.org/Sherlock2015.
