
CHICAGO — A 21-year-old man was shot and killed in South Shore Saturday night, police said.
Around 7 p.m., the man was standing outside in the 7300 block of South Dorchester Avenue when an unknown man walked out of a gangway and began firing shots, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police Department spokeswoman.
The man was shot in his chest and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition, and was later pronounced dead, Sedevic said.
Eric Turner, 21, of the same block, died at 7:43 p.m., the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said.
No one is in custody, and police are investigating.
