LAKEVIEW — A 23-year-old man was wounded while driving his car in Lakeview Saturday evening, police said.

Around 5:55 p.m., the man was driving in the 1600 block of West Irving Park Road when a person on a motorcycle drove up and began firing shots, striking him in his arm, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The 23-year-old drove to the 800 block of West Irving Park Road and alerted police, Sedevic said.

He was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he was listed in fair condition, Sedevic said.
