JEFFERSON PARK — The Gift Theatre will celebrate its 15th season with a party that will offer fans of the tiny Jefferson Park theater the first look at its lineup for 2016, theater officials said.

Artistic Director Michael Patrick Thornton will unveil the lineup for the 40-seat theater at 4802 N. Milwaukee Ave. at the second annual Season Release Bash that will take place from 4-10 p.m. July 12 at Fischman's Liquors, 4780 N. Milwaukee Ave.

"A season isn't simply something to announce,” said Thornton, who founded the theater with playwright William Nedved. "Our 2016 season is something to celebrate indeed."

DJ White Russian, Sidewalk Chalk and Sad Brad Smith will entertain the crowd and food trucks will be on hand to keep revelers fed, organizers said.

Tickets to the party — which is one of the 10-year-old theater's major fundraisers — are $25, which includes unlimited beer from Lake Effect, Slapshot and Mikerphone breweries.

Theater-lovers can buy a five-show package for $150 that includes performances of the two shows remaining in the 2015 season — "Body & Blood" and "Good for Otto" — as well as the three shows set for the 2016 season.
