AUBURN GRESHAM — There was only one Stanley Cup winner (us, of course) but in the battle between the Blackhawks and Tampa Bay Lightning, both cities benefited — thanks to a bet between the cities' men of the cloth.

Chicago veterans and Florida's homeless were treated to Chicago's famous Lou Malnati's deep dish pizza and Florida oranges Thursday after Archbishop Blase Cupich made a bet with a bishop in Florida about who would win the Stanley Cup.

Even though the Blackhawks took home the Cup, both diocese came together as winners.

More than 150 veterans living at St. Leo's Campus for Veterans, 7750 S. Emerald Ave., enjoyed the deep dish pizza and Florida oranges. More than 300 homeless individuals at the Catholic Charities emergency shelter in Florida shared the treat in Florida.

Catholic Charities has 160 locations throughout the Archdiocese of Chicago dedicated to providing services in the most vulnerable communities to help lift people out of poverty.
