Three Men Robbing North Side Residents at Gunpoint, Police Say

CHICAGO — Police are warning North Side residents to take extra precaution while walking in West Ridge in the early morning after two armed robberies were reported.

During the incidents, which occurred in the 6600 block of North Campbell Avenue, three men approach their victim, show a gun and demand everything they have, police said.

One incident occurred around 1:35 a.m. on May 30 and the second incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on June 14, police said.

One of the men was described as a black man in his 20s weighing about 180 pounds and standing 6 feet tall. He was wearing a white shirt and black shorts during one attack. The second robber is described as a black man in his 20s about 6 feet tall and weighing about 150 pounds. He was wearing a blue shirt, blue shorts and a black and white baseball cap during one incident, police said.

The third suspect was also described as a black man in his 20s standing about 5-feet-10-inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds. He was wearing a white t-shirt with blue jeans, police said.
