Huge Crowds (And the Cup) Turn Up for Postponed Mumford and Sons Show

By DNAinfo Staff | June 20, 2015 8:50am

UPTOWN — Even those who couldn't make it to the postponed concert Friday night heard the mellow sounds of British rock band Mumford & Sons from over a mile away in Lakeview and Uptown.

Anyone further out could listen along on 93XRT, which streamed the concert live.

Those who made it to the concert (out of 35,000 expected for the Wednesday show before it was postponed due to weather) enjoyed gorgeous views of the skyline from atop Cricket Hill at Montrose Beach.

Social media reports suggested that lines were long (for bathrooms, booze and bike returns) and the wait was cold at times, but otherwise it was a beautiful day to enjoy the lakefront concert.
