CHICAGO — Chicago Fire Department is investigating a suspicious fire at the luxury Sofitel Hotel in Gold Coast early Saturday, fire officials said.
The fire department responded to a call at 20 E. Chestnut St. around 2 a.m., said Cmdr. Will Knight, a Chicago Fire Department spokesman.
According to ABC7, someone set garbage on fire in a stairwell on the 19th floor, as well as a set of towels on the 31st floor.
No injuries were reported, Knight said.
