ROGERS PARK — Looking for a fun and local way to celebrate Father's Day this Sunday?

From where to catch the Cubs game to how to get tickets for lakeside Broadway theater, here's seven cool things to do in Rogers Park with the family:

Glenwood Sunday MarketBetween 9 a.m.-2 p.m. families can peruse local flora and produce at Rogers Park favorite farmers market, located on Glenwood Avenue between Morse and Lunt. The market offers a large selection of pastries (including gluten-free choices), fruits, veggies, jellies, jams and more. Consider checking out the market during a morning stroll or as a breakfast destination with the family.

Theater by the LakeThe first performance of this season's Theater by the Lake series takes place Sunday night beginning at 7:30 p.m. at Berger Park, 6205 N. Sheridan Road, with a showing of Bailiwick Chicago's "Murder Ballad." Billed as a "sexy, explosive, rock musical," this critically-acclaimed show might be better for teens and older.

Iron Heart Chicago PerformanceIn the afternoon between 2-4 p.m., Rogers Park families will get a chance to see a live musical performance from Iron Heart Chicago at White Willye B. Park, 1610 W. Howard St. Sponsored by the Old Town School of Folk Music, Iron Heart features "sounds from around the world" including Irish fiddlers, blues guitarists, champions of cimbalom and more. Great for all ages.

Watch the Cubs The kitchen opens at 11 a.m. at West Rogers Park staple Candelite, 7452 N. Western Ave. At 1:10 p.m., the Chicago Cubs play the Minnesota Twins at Target Field in Minneapolis, but with $5 bloody Marys and $15 Corona buckets, sports-minded dads can catch the game on one of Candelite's flat screens while munching on the signature Chipotle Breakfast Pizza until brunch ends at 3 p.m.

Watch the White SoxNot a Cubs fan? No problem. Right down the street at 7301 N. Western Ave. Mullen's Bar and Grill said it will have the White Sox home game against the Texas Rangers on (as well as the Cubs). Mullen's will also be serving up $5 bloody Marys, but will have $10 domestic buckets and half-priced rib platter deals. Half-priced ribs — the gift-giving practically takes care of itself.

Dinner at Ethiopian Diamond For families looking for a sit-down dinner without the hassle of cooking, Ethiopian Diamond's Rogers Park location at 7537 N. Clark St. will be having a Father's Day meal deal that includes an appetizer, salad and entreé at a special price, according to the Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce. Tour the tastes of Eastern and Southern Africa with beer and wine native to Ethiopia, Kenya and beyond.

Artists of the WallAt Loyola Park, 1230 W. Greenleaf Ave., families can celebrate this year's Artists of the Wall Festival by checking out the 600-foot collaborative seawall mural being created by Rogers Park residents. Local artists will also have homemade wares on hand, in addition to showcasing photography from throughout the neighborhood.
