EDGEWATER — Fathers are a hungry bunch.

That's why for this Father's Day, June 21, we put together a list of some of Edgewater's best brunches.

Here's six neighborhood eateries known for slinging tasty Sunday morning meals, including some that serve up plenty of bacon and beer:

Revival Social Club: New to the neighborhood this year, the spot at 1133 W. Granville Ave. opens early at 8 a.m. and serves short-rib sandwiches alongside breakfast skillets and eggs benedict. Other highlights include the Granville BLT, Nutella pancakes and Adult Chocolate Milk cocktail, blending white rum, créme de cacao, Nutella and cream. Vegan, meat-loving and just plain hungry dads can surf the menu to their hearts' desire.

Broadway Cellars: At 5900 N. Broadway, Broadway Cellars serves classics like steak and eggs as well as house specialties like The Grump (poached eggs over crab cakes with shrimp hollandaise and potatoes). Brunch service, with fresh and unique takes on traditional breakfast and lunch dishes, will be Sunday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Mia Francesca's Bryn Mawr: Located along historic stretch of Bryn Mawr Avenue, at 1039 West sits Mia Francesca's, where on Sundays fathers and kids of age can enjoy $3 draft beers (except Matilda) and new menus each month. This week, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., dads can get tomato-braised pork hash, blueberry ricotta pancakes with lemon compote, Amaretto-soaked french toast with peaches and toasted pecans and more.

Nookie's Edgewater: Just down the block is Nookie's Edgewater location, at 1100 W. Bryn Mawr Ave., where beginning at 7 a.m. dads and their posses can create their own sandwiches, choose from a wide range of healthy and gluten-free choices or stick to breakfast basics like buttermilk pancakes and Belgian waffles. This is also the only Nookies location with a full bar, Happy Father's Day!

Ann Sather at Granville: No North Side brunch list would be complete without the iconic Ann Sather at 1147 W. Granville Ave. This location has all the same dishes as its sister spot in Lakeview, but also offers outdoor patio dining with views of bustling North Broadway. The Swedish pancake sampler, French Toast Fantasy, Lumberjack wrap and bacon cheddar potato pancakes are all on the specials menu, in addition to the regulars like old school breakfast combos and eggs benedict. Ann Sather also has all "the fixins" for eaters to bring in their own booze for brunch bloody marys and mimosas, they say. Seats fill fast at this location, open Sunday between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.

m.henry: Brunch at m.henry at 5707 N. Clark St. is divided into two sections — sweet and savory — and promises the food is worth the wait. Between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.,"your patience will be rewarded," its menu reads. Sweet selections include dishes like mango and blueberry cinnamon roll french toast and "out of this world" breakfast pudding, while savory plates feature dishes with asparagus, crab cakes, polenta and salmon. Weather permitting, garden seating is available. If planning to go with eight or more people, m.henry takes reservations.
