CHICAGO — A 36-year-old man was shot Wednesday afternoon in Humboldt Park.

Around 4:10 p.m., the man was walking in the 700 block of North St. Louis Avenue when a man walked up to him and shot him in the left side of his chest, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

He was driven to Stroger Hospital by a friend and was listed in serious condition, Sedevic said.

No one is in custody for the shooting and further details were not available.
