CHICAGO — A 22-year-old man was wounded in a shooting in Humboldt Park Saturday night, police said.

Around 7:48 p.m., the man was standing on the corner in the 900 block of North Central Park Avenue, when a gunman approached on foot and started firing shots, striking the man in his right thigh, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was taken to John H. Stroger Hospital where he was treated and released.
