PORTAGE PARK — A boy was shot in the head Friday morning in Portage Park, police said.
The shooting, which occurred at 7:45 a.m. in the 4700 block of West Addison Street, appears to be accidental, said Officer Stacey Cooper, a Chicago Police Department spokeswoman.
The boy was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, but police did not know his condition, Cooper said.
