LINCOLN PARK — Now's your chance to take a bit of the Green City Market home with you.

Hotel Lincoln is partnering with the farmers market for a planting party from 7 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the market, directly across the street from the hotel, 1816 N. Clark St.

Market-goers will be able to create and decorate their own take-home herb planters at the hotel's booth for free.

All supplies and material will be provided by Hotel Lincoln, and team members from the hotel will provide instructions for families crafting the planters.

This week's chef demonstration at the market will be presented by Eric David of Pierrot Gourmet from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Later this summer the hotel will host a pickling demonstration with chef Paul Virant on July 18 and a tie-dye in the park event Aug. 8.
