CHICAGO — Three men are facing charges after fatally shooting a man in Auburn Gresham last year, police said.

Cordarius Lawrence, 24, of the 8000 block of South Marshfield Ave., Darryl Wilson, 21, of the 8100 block of South Justine Street; and Joshua Martin, 24, of the 10600 block of South Church Street have each been charged with first degree murder, police said in a statement.

Lawrence, Wilson and Martin were arrested after they were identified for killing Corey Williams, authorities said.

On February 6,  police responded to a call of shots fired and found a 29-year-old man on the ground with a gunshot wound in his chest about 2:15 a.m., police said.

The man was "unresponsive on the sidewalk" in the 8100 block of South Marshfield Avenue.

Corey Williams, of the 6000 block of South Richmond Street, was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, according to police. Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records show, however, that the victim was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center at 3:15 a.m.

Lawrence, Wilson and Martin are expected to appear in bond court Sunday.
