STREETERVILLE — A Chicago developer will make its first public pitch for a new Streeterville skyscraper next week.

Jupiter Realty will present its plan for a 45-story, 444-unit apartment tower it wants to build at 465 N. Park Dr. at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 9 at the Loews Chicago Hotel, 455 N. Park Dr. The public meeting will be hosted by Ald. Brendan Reilly (42nd) and the Streeterville Organization of Active Residents.

SOAR told DNAinfo Chicago last month that the oval-shaped tower would include a street-level restaurant and rooftop pool. The site, which is tucked between the Loews Hotel and AMC River East 21 movie theater, has long sat vacant and was previously zoned for a pre-recession tower by another developer that was never built.

In its earlier pitch, Jupiter told SOAR its plan includes improving nearby Ogden Park Plaza by adding a dog run and otherwise making the Downtown park more pedestrian-friendly.
