MOUNT GREENWOOD — Saint Xavier University's annual summer concert and fireworks show begins at 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 28.

The 19th annual event takes place on the front steps of the Warde Academic Center at the university’s Mount Greenwood campus, 3700 W. 103rd St.

The New Odyssey Band will perform from 7-10 p.m. at the free event. The group includes three musicians who play a total of 30 different musical instruments.

The concert will conclude with a patriotic finale and fireworks display at 9:45 p.m. or at dusk.

Officials said this year's fireworks show would factor in audience sight lines. The community is encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the show.

Concessions will be available from The Original Rainbow Cone, Gilhooley’s Grande Saloon, Calabria Imports and Happy Jack’s. Attendees also may bring their own refreshments.

For more information, please contact the university's office of special events at 773-298-3748 or specialevents@sxu.edu.
