CHICAGO — Two people were killed and two others were wounded in violence across the city since Wednesday afternoon, police said.

In Rogers Park, police are investigating after two men were found dead in a home just before 5 p.m.

Most recently, a 24-year-old man was critically wounded in a shooting in East Garfield Park.

Around 1:45 a.m., the man was in an argument with two other men in the 3600 block of West Fifth Avenue when one man pulled out a gun and fired shots, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The 24-year-old was shot in the chest and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, Estrada said.

Several hours earlier, a 16-year-old boy was riding a bicycle in the 6700 block of South Artesian Avenue in Chicago Lawn when he heard shots and felt pain at 9:23 p.m., Estrada said.

The teenager was shot in the right thigh and taken to Stroger Hospital in fair condition, Estrada said.

Police said the teenager was a documented gang member and they believed the shooting was gang-related.
