EDGEBROOK — A persistent rain and much-colder than average temperatures moved much of the first Destination Devon street festival inside Saturday — but didn't dampen spirits, officials said.

The festival, sponsored by business group Everyday Edgebrook, is part of the organization's effort to reintroduce shoppers to downtown Edgebrook, group leaders said.

Everyday Edgebrook broke away from the Edgebrook Chamber of Commerce earlier this year in an effort to breathe new life into the area around Devon and Central avenues.

Community groups provided information at the festival.

A plant sale took place as part of the festival.

Some tables moved inside and out of the rain.

Laura Guenther, l., and Noel Buican, co-founders of Everyday Edgebrook, contribute their ideas for downtown Edgebrook.

Artists demonstrated their work during the festival.

Arts and crafts on display at the festival.
