UKRAINIAN VILLAGE —   Clothes, furniture and antiques  — as well as lots of other possible treasures — will go up for sale in yards, garages and one elementary school parking lot in Ukrainian Village Saturday.

The date was strategically set to coincide with the popular Do Division Fest, which is expecting crowds of 70,000 in nearby Wicker Park, just north of the cluster of sales.

Scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m Saturday, the Ukrainian Village neighborhood-wide garage sale includes participation from 54 sellers at 47 individual spots, but some folks could be opening slightly earlier and others later, advises organizer Steve Niketopoulos.

The event is rain or shine, though in the event of rain, some vendors might not be open, Niketopoulos said.

"Everyone is running their own individual sale," he said, adding, "We are praying to the rain gods to stay away and I'm sure Do Division is praying too. It rains every year [at Do Division], so that's the funny thing about trying to organize our sale around the fest."

For people that do not have yards of their own, some sellers will be setting up in Columbus School's parking lot, 1003 N. Leavitt St.
