CHICAGO — Beginning this weekend, portions of LaSalle Street will be closed as workers begin underground utility work along the street.

Starting Saturday, AT&T will begin work at the intersection of LaSalle Street and Randolph Street, requiring one southbound lane of LaSalle Street to be closed, CDOT said.

The lane closure will take place from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and from 6:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. on weekdays, CDOT said.

Commuters are advised to use other southbound routes during construction.
