THE LOOP — The Taste of Chicago's signature giant turkey legs won't be served up by Manny's this year.
Manny's Vice President Dan Raskin said the restaurant is expanding its Near West Side location at 1141 S. Jefferson St. and wanted to focus on that instead of using its time and resources on the Taste. Manny's hasn't decided if it will return to the Taste next year, Raskin said.
"We're still going to be open in our location here, but we just decided to concentrate on our upcoming project and go from there," Raskin said.

Raskin said fans of Manny's can grab their usual Taste fare if they stop by the restaurant. Manny's absence caused a stir in 2012, but the restaurant returned to the festival in 2014.
Taste spokeswoman Christine Carrino said Miller's Pub will serve huge turkey legs in lieu of Manny's this year.
