FOREST GLEN — The mother of all neighborhood garage sales will take over the streets of Forest Glen June 13.
The 20th annual Forest Glen garage sale will feature more than 50 homes looking to transform their junk into cold, hard cash, organizer Irene Yungerman said.
Homes participating in the sale will be marked by green balloons and be listed on a map and address list of homes selling their unwanted treasures from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. June 13, Yungerman said.
Bargain hunters can enter Forest Glen from the east via Cicero Avenue at Berwyn, Balmoral or Catalpa avenues or from the west via Forest Glen Avenue between Elston and Cicero avenues at Balmoral, Berwyn or Catalpa avenues. From the south, shoppers can enter the secluded neighborhood from Foster Avenue at Lamon or LaPorte avenues.
The deadline for Forest Glen residents to register their homes in the sale hosted by the Forest Glen Community Club is Thursday, Yungerman said. The cost is $15
