JEFFERSON PARK — State Rep. Robert Martwick (D-Jefferson Park) will give residents the inside scoop on what's happening in Springfield in a Facebook chat from 3-5 p.m. Wednesday.
Martwick will take questions live on Facebook about the political drama unfolding in the state's capital as elected officials grapple with the state's increasingly dire financial situation.
In addition, lawmakers may debate two bills designed to reduce the constant roar of jet planes over the Northwest Side by keeping more runways in service at O'Hare.
Dan Pogorzelski, a spokesman for Martwick, said Martwick might be the first Illinois state representative to conduct a live Facebook chat with constituents.
