PORTAGE PARK — The Filament Theatre Ensemble will celebrate living legend Bob Dylan's birthday with an old-fashioned hootenanny at 6 p.m. May 17.
The bash, complete with birthday cake, will mark Dylan's 74th birthday, which is a week later on May 24.
The third-annual tribute to songwriters will raise money for the ensemble that moved to Six Corners in 2013 and transformed the first floor of the former furniture warehouse at 4041 N. Milwaukee Ave. into a performance venue.
Artists scheduled to perform include Anna Fermin, Bucky Halker, Zydeco Voodoo, Grooved Surface, Stolie, Kristin Cotts, Al Rose, Luke Heiden, Tim McNulty and Sam Lipkin.
Attendees should bring drinks and snacks, organizers said.
Tickets for the event are $15 per person or $100 for a VIP table of four.
