WRIGLEY FIELD — The long-awaited left field bleachers at Wrigley Field will be open to the public on Monday, and the Chicago Cubs are tickled pink.

The left and center field bleachers, originally set for Opening Day completion, will open for the Cubs Charities' Pink Out game, during which those seated in the bleachers will receive a pink T-shirt.

"With new group spaces, wider concourses and expanded concession service, we are excited to open the Budweiser Bleachers for our next homestand," Cubs executive Crane Kenney said in a statement.

The right field bleachers are still on track to open June 11, the Cubs said Tuesday morning. New concessions and additional amenities will be added before the bleachers' completion in early July.

The new left field video board was ready for Opening Day, April 5.

Platform 14, an outdoor concession behind the scoreboard, will open in early July with expanded food preparation spaces and a larger variety of freshly prepared concessions.

A July 3 celebration is planned for the Budweiser Bleachers, which will coincide with the Budweiser Bleacher Fridays Red, White and Brew promotion.

Other Budweiser Bleacher Fridays include: Fitz and the Tantrums Extra Innings Show (July 10); Beach Bash (May 29); Country Day (June 12); '90s Day (Aug. 21) and Singles and Doubles Day (Sept. 18).

The Cubs and Wrigley Field are 95 percent owned by a trust established for the benefit of the family of Joe Ricketts, owner and CEO of DNAinfo.com. Joe Ricketts has no direct involvement in the management of the team.
