CHICAGO — Don't want to dole out $100 to watch the "Fight of the Century" — Floyd Mayweather, Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao — Saturday night at home?
We've rounded up some bars to head to for the fight (and the Kentucky Derby, earlier in the day). The fight's undercard starts at 8 p.m. Saturday, but the actual fight doesn't start until around 10:30 p.m.
FREE
Leader Bar, 3000 Irving Park Road.: Enjoy the fight on any of Leader Bar's 28 HDTVs. There is no cover to watch the fight at Leader Bar.
Sports Corner, 956 W. Addison St.: Sports Corner will be hosting a watch party for the fight free of charge, but it will be first come, first served, so get there early. At 7 p.m., all tables will be removed, and the bar will be standing-room-only for the fight.
Boulevard Sports Lounge, 2645 W. North Ave.: Boulevard has lots of space and big TVs to watch both the Derby and the fight. Be warned, the sports lounge doesn't serve food.
Rocks North Center, 4138 N. Lincoln Ave.: The fun starts at 6 p.m. at Rocks, but the seats will likely fill up fast, considering those watching the Derby beforehand.
University of Chicago - Reynolds Club, 57th and University Ave.: The school's Filipino student group is hosting a watch party starting at 7:30 p.m. that is open to the public and will have Filipino food available, though the fans will likely be understandably biased.
LESS THAN $100
Heating and Cooling, 3530 N. Clark St.: With the Cubbies in town vs. the Brewers, you can spend your whole day at Heating and Cooling transitioning from Wrigley Field to the 141st Race for the Roses to Fight of the Century. Tickets to watch the fight are only $10 and available here.
Velvet Lounge, 67 E. Cermak Road.: The guys at Velvet Lounge are charging a $20 cover to watch the fight and enjoy a buffet with them on Cermak Road.
El Ranchito Mexican Restaurant, 2175 N. Austin Ave.: El Ranchito Mexican Restaurant will stream the fight while serving dinner Saturday night. After the fight, stay for live music from Francisco Plata, Fuerte Impacto and Leal Musical. Tickets are $20 at the door.
Reverie Chicago, 414 N. Orleans St.: Reverie is allowing people to preorder standing-room-only tickets to the fight for $35. The restaurant also sold group tickets, but those are now sold out.
Joe's on Weed Street, 940 W. Weed St.: At Joe's, the party begins at noon when Weed Street is shut down for the Derby Days Festival, where you can sport big hats, enjoy mint juleps and bet on the derby. While Derby Days is free, there is a $45 cover to go indoors to watch the fight. For reservations call (312) 337- 3486.
Barn and Company, 950 W. Wrightwood: It'll cost you $45 to get into Barn and Company Saturday night, but for the money you get access to an all-you-can-eat barbecue buffet and a premium bar. Tickets can be purchased here. For reservations for large groups, email bianca@hubbardinn.com.
