18-Year-Old Fatally Shot In McKinley Park Saturday Morning Identified

CHICAGO — Police have identified a man who died early Saturday night in the McKinley Park neighborhood as 18-year-old Javante Linson. He was found by police after being found unresponsive with gunshot wounds in a gangway, according to Office Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. 

Around 1 a.m. police responded to a call about a shooting in the 3400 block of South Hamilton Avenue and found Linson lying in an alley gangway with fatal gunshot injuries to his head and abdomen. He was pronounced dead on the scene, she said.

According to police, the Linson was a documented gang member. 

No one is currently in custody.
