CHICAGO — Police are warning residents after two armed robberies in West Rogers Park.

In each incident, one or two people armed with a handgun or implying they had one approached the victims before robbing them, police said in a statement.

The most recent incident happened at 8:07 p.m. April 6 in the 2400 block of West Devon Avenue. The other incident occurred at 5:23 a.m. April 2 in the 2300 block of West Rosemont Avenue, police said.

In the Devon incident, one of the robbers was described as Hispanic man, about 6 feet tall, 170 to 195 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He was wearing a baseball cap, brown jacket and blue jeans. The other robber was described as a black man, 5-foot-4 or 5-foot-5, 130 to 150 pounds and wearing a gray jacket, blue jeans and white high-top gym shoes.

In the Rosemont Avenue incident, the robber was described as a Hispanic man between 18 and 25 years old, 5-foot-6, and 150 pounds.
