By Bettina Chang | April 23, 2015 7:40pm

CHICAGO — A man wearing a large gauze bandage over his face has robbed three Chicago banks in the last month, the FBI said.

The agency is seeking help from the public to find the so-called "Bandage Bandit." A reward is available for anyone with information that can help the FBI find the serial bank robber, Robert J. Holley, special agent-in-charge of the FBI's Chicago office, announced today in a press release.

The robber has been described by witnesses as a six-foot-tall black man, in his late 40s, with "a medium build and dark complexion." He was seen wearing "a red or black jacket with blue jeans, white shoes, a black knit cap, sunglasses and a gauze bandage on the left side of his face," according to the press release.

He is considered armed and dangerous, the statement said.

The robberies occurred in the Near West Side, South Lawndale and (most recently) Humboldt Park neighborhoods:

• 3337 W. North Ave., April 22 at 10:46 a.m.

• 3101 W. Cermak Rd., April 6 at 9:13 a.m.

• 2154 W. Madison St., March 31 at 9:45 a.m.

If you have information about this man, contact the FBI's Chicago office at 312-421-6700 or local police.
