Rogers Park, Edgewater Police Commanders Moved

ROGERS PARK — The Chicago Police Department shuffled its top cops in Edgewater and Rogers Park.

Rogers Park Police District Cmdr. Thomas Waldera has been named the commander of the department's narcotics division, while Foster Police District Cmdr. Kevin Duffin was named commander of Area Central Detectives, according to Martin Maloney, a police spokesman.

Capt. Cornelia Lott, who has worked in the department for 23 years and is the executive officer of the Near North Police District, will be promoted to commander in the Foster district.

Capt. RobertO Nieves, who worked in the department for 19 years and is the executive officer in the Near West Police District, will be promoted to commander in the Rogers Park district.
